By Najat Kantouar
Just Eat Takeaway.com is partnering with Amazon in Germany, Austria and Spain to offer Amazon Prime members unlimited free delivery on their food orders.
At 0805 GMT, Just Eat shares were up 0.14 European cents, or 1.2%, at EUR12.15. Year-to-date, shares have fallen 12%.
The Amsterdam-headquartered food-delivery group said Wednesday that the collaboration will allow Amazon Prime members to order with unlimited free delivery and partners to reach more local consumers.
"The partnership will further support our partners' growth by opening up their doors to Amazon Prime members," Just Eat Takeaway Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Kenny said.
The company didn't disclose any financial details of the deal.
Additionally, through the partnership, Amazon Prime members will get early access to the free delivery feature of Plus, a new customer loyalty program to be launched by the food-delivery group that will offer consumers a variety of exclusive deals and discounts from restaurant partners and retailers.
"The value of a Prime membership continues to grow with this offer," Amazon Prime Vice President Jamil Ghani said.
